This Blog is owned and maintained by Punk Rock Clothing has been present in the Alternative Community since the birth of punk, we have all like it or not became witness to the subculture of punk rock fashion that soon followed. When it comes to punk rock clothing we think denim punk jackets, leather jackets, punk studs, chains, plaid, offensive punk t shirts and all things torn and distressed as worn by punk rock bands past and present. This is in stark contrast to the decades fading, rival movement of hippies who would sport long hair, and light, flowing loose-fitting clothes.
We can thank punk rock bands like New York Doll’s, The Ramones , London’s Sex Pistols and The Clash for popularising the maverick punk clothing style but, of course, we can’t mention Punk clothes with out giving credit to Dame Vivienne Westwood. With out Ms Westwood along side Malcom McLaren opening their Kings Road boutique SEX thirty years ago punk rock clothing would not be as we know it today.
Now in 2009 many celebrities keep this style alive today, these include Green day, Gwen Stefani, Avril Lavigne, Rancid, Haley Williams, Pink and Kelly Osbourne to name just a few.
It’s safe to say punk rock clothing has its place firmly in the history books but the fashion certainly has no intention of dying out any time soon. Not only is there the global, loyal punk scene masses, but these garish looks frequently leak into the mainstream. Take the recent boom of leather jackets not to mention the worldwide sweep of plaid this last year with still much more to come.
If you’re looking for good quality punk rock clothing, their are numerous brands that bring this style alive today namely Darkside Clothing, Poizen Industries, TUK Shoes, Living Dead Souls, Iron Fist Clothing and Dead Threads.
It doesn’t have to cost a fortune to get great looking skin, just follow these simple rules. Exfoliate: Start by removing all those dead skin cells from your face by using a good exfoliating scrub but try not to rub too hard, you don’t want a bright red face lol.
Its best to do this 2-3 times a week. Cleanse: It’s always best to use a milky cleanser as it’s less drying on your skin and most will contain more oil particles that will absorb excess oil onto the skin rather then stripping it.
Use this on a daily basis. Nourish: Once a week (best after those nights out) use a hydrating face mask to keep skin in tip top condition.
Always remember to finish up any skin care regime with a good moisturiser and eye cream.

So after months of Katie Price (Jordan to you and I) harping on about how her new man Alex Reid was riding her ”coat tails” and using her for his own selfish ends it seems the tables have turned.After his stint on Celeb BB it seems Alex is becoming a celebrity in his own right and now it’s Jordan who needs HIM to survive this fickle fame game. After dumping him live on air during her appearence on ”Im a (washed up) celebrity get me out of here”, I’m suprised he didn’t tell her to stick her reconciliation where the sun don’t shine, but apparently they’ve just got themselves hitched. Not in a lavish OTT ceremony but a ”private, simple” ceremony, although it is rumoured there is a one million pound sum involved, so behind closed doors but sold to the world kinda ”private” aye katie? Here’s a recipe I came across many moons ago and love to make so thought I’d share it with you all.
Heres what you’ll need :
175g - Soft butter
175g - Golden caster sugar
200g - Self raising flour
3 Eggs
1 tsp Baking powder
2 tsp Ground Cinnamon
4 tbsp Milk
4 Rounded tbsp Nutella
1, First preheat the oven to 180 Degrees (gas mark 4)
2, Next grease a round baking tin (or line with grease proof paper)
3, Place the butter, sugar, eggs, flour, baking powder, cinnamon and milk into a bowl and beat with a wooden spoon for 2-3 minutes (if using an electric whisk only do this for about 1-2 minutes) until the mixture is light and fluffy.
4, Pour 3/4 of the mixture into the tin, then using a knife smooth out the mixture so it is level. Then spoon on the Nutella in 4 equal blobs onto the mixture. Then pour the remaining cake mixture on top and swirl a few times with a skewer.
Then smooth out to cover the nutella.
5, Lastly sprinkle with nuts.
6, Bake for 1 hour to 1 hour - 10 minutes until the cake has risen, nicely browned and first to touch with a slight spring back.
Allow to cool in the tin for 10 minutes before turning out onto a rack and removing the grease proof paper.
And ta da….yummy cinnamon and nutella cake.

So far Cheryl Cole has denied that she has had some work done on her lips but recent photo’s show that they’re deffo looking a lot more plump lately.
Could It be clever makeup perhaps?
Top surgeons say that it is more then likely due to fillers which will need topping up every 6 months.
Hmm only time and tabloids will tell.
Heres a few top tips right off the bat :) # Before applying colour, dip a flannel in hot water then buff to remove any dead skin flakes from your lips. # Lippy won’t last the night? then here’s a lil trick. After applying your lip liner around your lip line, use it to fill in the rest of your lips. Now just add some gloss over the top to create some shine and ta-da. Lip liner tends to have more staying power then most lipsticks and because most lip liners are matte they’ll cling to your lips all night. Just try not to get to carried away with all the snogging lol. # To make your fav lipstick last longer, apply and blot with your fingers. Then pat a lil bit of powder on top to seal the colour. Bexy

Sweet children at the essex factor.
Many of the citizens of Essex may have heard of ”The Essex Factor”.
But if you haven’t ”The Essex Factor” is a local competition based on the famous ”X Faxtor” concept open to all the residents of Essex which allows solo acts, groups and bands to compete for a £1000 prize as well as a sony record deal.
There are 4 rounds of auditions and the lucky acts who make it through get to go to ”boot camp” which will take place on the 27th and 28th of February.
If the acts then make it through boot camp they get to go onto the finals.
There was a lot of variety with each act providing something different, but one act that stood out to me was a young girl who sang ”I know where I’ve been” made famous by Queen Latifah from the musical hairspray. Absolutely brilliant :)
And I’m so proud to say that my boyfriend’s band ”Sweet children” entered and made it through to the boot camp round. All the comments from the judges were positive and after all the acts had performed and the judges had reached their verdicts Sweet Children were asked to play again to help wrap up the evening…HELL YEA!
So if Sweet children make it through to the finals be sure to show your support and vote!

These release energy slowly into your body helping you go for longer. # Exercise – Being active and moving about boosts energy and improves stamina, not to mention helping to release those feel good endorphins.
